About AI Doomsday Guide
Why a deliberately dramatic name sits on top of a deliberately careful editorial standard.
What this site is
AI Doomsday Guide is an independent educational publication about AI risk, disruption and resilience. It is designed around a simple observation: people ask dramatic questions about artificial intelligence, but useful answers require distinctions that headlines often erase.
We cover AI takeover scenarios, work and income disruption, deepfake fraud, cyber resilience, everyday preparedness and AI-safety research. The practical standard is that a recommendation should still make sense if the most extreme AI scenario never happens.
What this site is not
We are not an emergency service, a financial adviser, a law firm, a medical service or a cybersecurity provider. We do not claim inside information about future AI capability. We do not publish a countdown to AGI or an invented probability of catastrophe.
Who stands behind the work
We believe readers should be able to see who is responsible for what they read. Named publisher and editor details will appear here when the site launches; we will never invent credentials or imply that an unnamed expert has reviewed an article.
Corrections
If a material fact changes or we get something wrong, the affected page should be corrected clearly and its review date updated.
